Longneck Road

Longneck Road has had several big shows in the past two weeks, and will return to the Logon Cafe with opener Alex Rozell on Friday, May 13. On April 28, Longneck Road opened for John Anderson and Ronnie Milsap at the “Hats Off to Industry” event in Winnie, Texas. 

On May 6th, Longneck Road performed for a great crowd at Starvin’ Marvin’s in Beaumont, Texas.

The following day, Longneck Road played at the Boys’ Haven Crawfish Festival in Beaumont, Texas, before heading to Kountze, Texas to perform at the Hardin County Muddin’ & Music Festival. This was a memorable show, as Longneck Road shared the stage with The Bart Crow Band and headliner Aaron Watson.  This was an exciting two days for the band … 3 gigs within the span of 21 hours! Join us at The Logon Cafe in Beaumont on Friday, May 13. The show starts with Alex Rozell at 8:00 p.m., followed by Longneck Road!

On April 6, 2011, Dick LeMasters of Longneck Road played a solo acoustic set to open for Paul Thorn at Courville’s in Beaumont. We had a wonderful time, and Paul Thorn puts on one of the best shows any of us have ever seen. Paul, his co-writer Billy Maddox, and all of the guys in his band were great to meet. We just can’t say enough about Paul Thorn and his music.

For the remainder of April, Longneck Road has some private events booked. On May 7, Longneck Road performs at the Hardin County Muddin’ & Music Festival. Then, on May 13, we return to the Logon Cafe for a semi-unplugged show.

We had a wonderful time performing at Nutty Jerry’s in Winnie, Texas, on Friday, March 4th! It was a honor to get to open for Chuck Berry!

Thanks to the staff, stage crew, and the sound guys at Nutty Jerry’s for taking care of us and for doing such a great job. Chuck Berry put on an awesome show!

And to everyone who hollered out “One More!” at the end of our set, we can’t tell you how much we appreciated that!

We had a great time and a great crowd at The Barking Dog in Orange, Texas, on February 19th! Thanks to Tanya and Chris for having us play, and to everyone who came out to the show!

We are looking forward to our next show — opening for Chuck Berry at Nutty Jerry’s in Winnie, Texas on Friday, March 4, 2011, at the Al Caldwell 75th Birthday Celebration. Two big shows this Saturday, February 19th! At 3:30 p.m., Longneck Road performs at the Girls’ Haven Gumbo Cook-Off at Parkdale Mall in Beaumont, Texas. Girls’ Haven is a great charity, and Longneck Road has performed at the Girls’ Haven and Boys’ Haven fundraiser events over the past few years.

On Saturday night, Longneck Road performs at 8:00 p.m. at The Barking Dog in Orange, Texas. The Barking Dog is located at 109 5th Street in Orange, near the Lutcher Theater. We’re planning a semi-acoustic show. Come early to get a good seat!

We got some big news yesterday! On Friday, March 4, Longneck Road will open for Chuck Berry at the Al Caldwell 75th Birthday Celebration at Nutty Jerry’s in Winnie, Texas. Visit the Nutty Jerry’s website for details and ticket information. We are so excited about this show!

Plan ahead to attend the Longneck Road show at The Barking Dog in Orange, Texas, on Saturday, February 19th at 8:00 p.m. The Barking Dog is a wonderful coffee shop/cafe located in an awesome space across from Lamar Orange and the Lutcher Theater. The address is 109 5th Street, Orange, TX 77630. 

We are planning a semi-unplugged show, with more emphasis on the acoustic songs than usual. Come out and join Longneck Road in this great, intimate music venue. The cover charge is a most reasonable $5.00 In addition to a selection of coffee drinks and their excellent menu items, the Barking Dog has a wide choice of beer and wine.

In other news, during Saturday night’s gig, Longneck Road had the honor of being included on Jim King’s King of the Road show on Fox 4 in Beaumont. The show was broadcast at 9:30 p.m. on January 29th. The show included Longneck Road’s performance of Dick LeMasters’ original song “Big Ol’ Buick” from the Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame Concert on January 22. We really want you to come to the Logon Cafe on Saturday, January 29 at 8:30 p.m. for our show. However, there is another Longneck Road viewing option that night for those who can’t make it to the show.

Jim King, who hosts the television show “King of the Road” on Fox 4 in Beaumont, will have video from the 24th Annual Gulf Coast Hall of Fame Concert. The show will air at 9:30 p.m. on January 29. Wayne Toups and Zydecajun will be the focus, but there will be a full-song performance clip of Longneck Road.

So, if you can make the show, set your DVR or other recorder. If you can’t come out that night, catch Longneck Road on the King of the Road show!
